A lap at Sitges Terramar

In the summer from 2008 I visited this classic banked oval. At this page I take you with me for
a lap at this special race track. Don't forget to read also the report I wrote about this great day!

Here was start/finish. Because this part is used as the entrance road to the house it is still in a reasonable condition ...

But a little bit further the track is overgrown!

The banking is closed by a fence with chains ...

But when you know the way you can enter the banking! This corner was exactly 180°.

At the end of the banking there was another road block. See the yellow fence? I had to open this to enter the banking.

Here you see the "back straight" with the right kink. Very unusual for an oval!

The second banking is coming ...

This one has a parabolic shape and is longer than the previous corner.

After the steep banked part of the corner the radius becomes wider while the banking decrease.

Look at that hole in the road!

A look at the inside of the track!

Another fence before the start/finish straight.

And there we are back at start/finish ...

Because the track was driven in both directions we also do a lap clockwise!

There we go with our face to the other direction.

Do you see the unpaved road next to the fence? That's the entrance to the banking now!

Now this is the beginning of the corner ...

Here the real banking starts!

After a tremendous ride at the banking we enter the curved "back straight".

There's the road block again. But no problem, there was a fence which could be opened.

Look at the rock formation at the inside!

And there's the start/finish straight again ...

Which bings us back at the site we started our laps.
